will changing my award pci/pnp 586 chip. to a award pci/pnp 686 chip do any good/harm to my mobo?

if it will work... I am not sure what the pinouts are on the chips. If they are incorrect, the chip might fry.

Also, I am not sure that doing this will allow your system to boot. Usually BIOS code is specific TO THAT MOTHERBOARD not the general manufacturer (even, in the case of the BH6, to the specific PCB revs)
