I'm building a new computer, and for some odd reason, when I restart my computer by either pressing the power switch or turning off the power supply, when I turn it back on, the computer seems to start running, but the monitor acts like it's on standby. I think that is actually on standby, but since the monitor doesn't show anything, I can't get to my bios and fix it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about and how to fix it, please help - or if you just know how to reset the bios, that'll help to. Thanks.
Most boards have a jumper you move and move back to Clear the CMOS. This removes all user setup selections and restores factory defaults. That's where I'd start.

Thanks for the tip Roy, but I read through the manual for the board, and no where does it say how to reset the CMOS using jumpers. I just build a computer using the KT7-RAID, and it has that option, but I don't know about the A7V.

Hey Luminance
In your Asus A7V manual, turn to page 59.The diagram of the motherboard on that page shows where the CLRTC solder points are. This may be what your looking for.
See ya.
Another option is to remove the battery and "short" the mobo terminals it hooks to. (Power OFF, of course)

Alright, thanks guys. I found it in the manual. I'll see what that does. I figured out that it seems to be on stand-by mode all the time. Even after I power off, turn off the power supply, and unplug it, as soon as I plug it in and turn on the power supply, it switches on, nevermind the power switch on the case. I'm starting to hate that green standby light on the board.
