ENPC PI-11 Mobo question ?????

i have the ENPC PI-11

whats the fastest processor i can run on this board?

i have a K6/266...but it runs too slow to run the game "counter strike" http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

does anyone know the max k6-2 processor speed i could run and what jumpers do i have to change? i dont have the manual..bought the board used from my older bro.

I have this board and have run K6-2 400 with great success.

The K6-2 is good for overall things, however the FPU (Floating Point Unit) in the CPU is weak, making this not the ideal processor for gaming. I ran a 550MHz K6-2 in a Shuttle HOT-591P motherboard /w a GeForce2 MX200 and it lagged! CS does not take much power as it built on the Quake II 3D engine which a PII-266 can play, but I know that my old PII-266 was much stronger and more stable. If you can get a K6-III into the board, give it a try. It offers better FPU performance but is pricy.
