I installed an SBLive! Value Card in my system and when I installed the drivers and programs for it and restarted, I noticed the boot time was longer, so I disabled the startup programs (playcenter, launcher, etc.) and it still didn't work. Please help!

Could it be the dos drivers?

I dunno. How do you uninstall them?

Alright, I disabled the SB16 Emulation but that resolves only half of the problem. It still boots up for a long time when my desktop shows up! What now?

I had a similar problem with my SB PCI 64 card when I installed it into Win9x. I found out that the gameport/joystick was the problem. Since I don't use this feature, I just disabled it in all profiles, and the computer started up much quicker. Hopefully this helps some.

Yeah, the SB emulation was a problem for me. I disabled it and (knock on silicon) all is well.

No good. I use the joystick port for my controller to play videogames. Any other suggestions?

Nevermind. Everything is now booting at normal speed! Thanx to everyone!
