I bought the Dell card cheap off ebay to speed up the video on the alton M758 onboard video. I have the BIOS set to PCI as the primary video and when I boot the computer it beeps around 7 times then pauses then beeps 3 more times. I don't get video from either video port (onboard AGP or the NVIDIA PCI). If I set the primary video to AGP the machine will boot and windows will detect the new PCI video card. When I try to install the drivers it says that they aren't the correct drivers for the board. It seems like I have changed about every BIOS setting on the machine and have never gotten any video out of the PCI card.

I put the card into a DELL machine and it worked on the first try. Any tips, suggestions, solutions, would be greatly appreciated.

The specs for the machine are as follows:
Intel PIII 800Mhz Processor w/CPU Fan
Alton M758 PC133 GFXCEL System Board
128MB Micron PC133 SDRAM Memory
30.7GB ATA66 Hard Disk
40X CD-ROM
Highest Performance, 128-bit 3D AGP 64MB max frame
1.44 Floppy Disk Drive
2 PCI and 2 USB
AC97 Digital Sound
56K V.90 Modem
10/100Mbps Ethernet Adaptor
Keyboard, Mouse and Speakers
Micro ATX Case

Have you tried booting into windows and disabling the onboard video in Device Manager?

Some video cards just won't work in that MB. I've had mixed results.

Good Luck

I would try to do that but when you look at device manager there is only one option:
Exists in all harware profiles.

Is there some trick to get the Disable option to appear or is it not available in some versions of Windows? Anyone know?
