Hi i was wondering if anyone can suggest or point me in the right direction of a relatively cheap dual celeron motherboard to run either 2 500's or 600's. I've been searching but dont know where to start or what pages to go to.

I'd be running win2k and hope that the mobo has very little setup to do regarding bios updates (preferably not the ABit BP6 as i've not read many good and easy reviews on setting it up in win2k) etc. (If thats possible) and dont have onboard sound or graphics.

If anyone can offer any suggestions, or point me in the right direction, they would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Rich

The highest basic clockrate that Celeron will function as dual cpu is the PPGA 533 Celeron. The newer Celeron are not dual cpu capable. Unfortunately, these Celerons are not overclocker friendly. You're lucky to run them at 598Mhz.

The only motherboard I know that natively run dual Celerons is the BP6. The newer VP6 and MSI 694D can run dual Celeron as well.

Look around for MSI 694D version 1 - you should be able to find one below $120
