What you could do is get two network interface cards and ethernet the systems together. Also get a switch for switching a screen, keyboard and mouse between two computers. That will allow you to share all the resources. I have such a system switch and it works fine for Win95B and WinNT4.0. Unfortunately, Win98SE crashes when you disconnect its keyboard and mouse.
Under Linux you might also be able to connect the two machines via the COM ports as Linux seems to software for just about anything provided you can find it.
Connecting the two PC's via the memory bus, well I guess you could if you had an army of hardware designers and software gurus. That kind of stuff is usually done at universities where time abounds at low cost and common sense is a tad bit limited.
Has anyone seen two generic PCs connected via a memory bus interface?
