Since Warthog has been posting name that tune, I though I would ask some music type questions.

1. - "What's your favorite type of music?"
2. - "What's your favorite band?"
3. - "If legally possible http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif, post a link to one of your favorite mp3's."

Here's mine:

1. Anything with an extremely heavy beat, esp. Heavy Metal, Rap, Electronica, and Techno.

2. I would have to say Metallica.

3. http://chooser.mp3.com/cgi-bin/play/play.cgi/AAIAQkwvBwDABG5vcm1QBAAAAFLehwAAUQIAAABDMPYAOYZyNW GDcEjCH6JOdI3MQ54-/audio_fantasy.mp3

ABout the same as you with jazz, blues and classical added in. Not much techno and electronica.

Pink Floyd without a doubt is my fav. Rush being a close second with ozzy, iron maiden etc...

THere was a simeler post a couple months ago.

1. Lots of stuff, ranging from Metal to Classical. Needs to be fast & heavy, or soothing (i.e. Canon in D). Can't stand pop or country.

2. No real clue. Have to go with a tie between Bad Religion & KMFDM.

3. Good band called Kittie (legal) (http://www.artemisrecords.com/mp3/kittie.mp3)

Mostly old skool r&b and hip-hop. Lighthouse Family, Wu-Tang, Juvie, Meth, Red, Louis Armstrong, Dr. Dre, Q-tip, Montell Jordan, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, BB King, Diane Schuur, Faith Hill, Tupac, George Winston, Randy Crawford, Ali, Sarah Vaughan...
That's what's in the current rotation. Thanks for asking.

Dominus, I also think Kittie is cool. I heard the song awhile back, but just finally saw the video a couple of days ago. Though, I must admit, their look is kind of warped.

BTW, jad have you checked out Pink Floyd's new 2 album release? I'm considering buying it, but I haven't heard any opinion yet.

1. I like just about everything, from classic rock to metal to classical. I hate country and I refuse to listen to Britney Spears.
2. KISS is by far the best Rock band of all time!
3. Dont have a link, but my favorite song is "Let Me Go, Rock n Roll" by KISS live in 1975 on the album "KISS Alive". I have that on LP!

I like all kinds of music but do have a few faves. I'm a sucker for a fine female voice like Sheryl Crow, Sue Medley, Alannah Myles, Luba, Amanda Marshall, Sarah McLachlan, Bonnie Raitt, Pat Benatar, etc.

Also Blue Rodeo, Tom Cochrane, Steve Earle, Steve Earle has to be THE best concert I've ever been to!... 5440, Big Sugar, Bruce Cockburn and lotsa oldies like Led Zep, CCR, Guess Who, Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, Simon & Garfunkel, Supertramp, Queen, ACDC's early stuff (Bon Scott) and most of the 60's stuff.

I have many oldies on vinyl, some all time fave albums are 10 Years After-A Space In Time, Styx-Equinox, Aerosmith-Toys in the Attic, April Wine-Stand Back, Edgar Winter Group-They Only Come Out At Night, Led Zep II, Rush-Fly By Night, Bad Company-Straight Shooter. I like most anything except techno pop/dance and rap.

1) Hip hop is number one in my book (not too much mainstream though), rap, old school, R&B, classical, and other songs here and there from different genres (inc. James Brown and Louis Armstrong). Can NOT stand: Country, Britney Spears or any groups like Britney Spears, Progressive, Trance, Techno, Jungle, Hardcore, Happy Hardcore, or pretty much any other rave music (with a few exceptions), 80s!!! (hate this one more than any of the others!), and campy 70s songs.
2) Jurassic 5, Freestyle Fellowship (broke up because one of their guys went to jail http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif ), and Chopin (not exactly a band, but hey...).
3) It's not a link to an MP3, but www.undergroundhiphop.com (http://www.undergroundhiphop.com) has MP3s for downloading, and I usually like what they have to offer.

I hate to use this already over-extended term, but I like "classic" rock. Sixties were cool.

My favorite group has to be Rush. I've probably seen them at least 15-20 times.

I love guitar, I play myself, and that's the first thing I hear in music. Like foreplay/long time by Boston. Whew Tom Schulz really nailed it on that one! By the way, he was a techie from MIT.Mad all of his effects pedals and boards. Real egghead! HA!

Also Alvin Lee (ten years after), Roy Buchannon, Queen, Uriah Heap (anyone ever hear of them?) They were like heavy metal before it wuz.....

My favorite song of all time, well, one of them anyway is the following. Now, I own the CD's they came from, so I'm "assuming" I can do this. If not, someone please save me from myself. But, here it is:
http://www.familyshoebox.com/family/230/FSLO-953042625-821230.mp3

Dare I add another?
http://www.familyshoebox.com/family/040/FSLO-953043571-631040.mp3

And one more, then I'll quit!

So, as usual, I overstay my welcome, sorry R/R, but that's me huh?

Hey Grandslammer, Uriah Heep? Was it "Look at Yourself", that is ringing a bell? I remember all those guys just like it was yesterday, too bad it's not.
How 'bout Tommy Bolin? He (home town boy) played w/ Zephyr (1st two albums), James Gang(Bang & Miami) , jazz greats (Billy Cobham & Alphonse Mouzan), Deep Purple (Come Taste The Band). Not to mention 2 great solo albums Tommy Bolin (Teaser & Private Eyes).
Sorry another old-timer, getting carried away. I'm sure I missed something.

I've got another song for you guys! Here I am visiting Sysopt and listening to the radio and I here this pretty cool sounding song. I wrote down some of the words:'

Runaway, runaway, and say goodbye
Runaway if you want to survive

*at the end*
It's time to say goodbye

Thanks guys!

Yeah shadow, that WAS Queen. It's called "One Vision" I think (just my opinion...) that's one of the best rock songs ever recorded. I never get tired of hearing that one!

Anyway, akaBruno, the Uriah Heap song I like the best is actually "the Wizard" I know that's like a slow one, but I still think it rocks. Sweet Loraine, Stealin', I love this stuff!
