Hi #2

When you're booting up the system, on the Memory Count/POST screen, usually in the lower left corner you'll see a string of number/letters - your BIOS String.

Hit the 'Pause' key, write that number down and do a Ctrl+F for that number here:

http://www.ping.be/bios/

Or, post the string here and one of us will help you ID it. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Your mobo appears to be a Hsing Tech. It looks like they are a part of the pcchips company. Here is a link to their product page. Hope this helps you out a lil bit! You should be able to find a corresponding model number silkscreened on the mobo. steve http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.pcchips.com.tw/product.html
p.s A great place to find info on any mobo is www.motherboards.org (http://www.motherboards.org)

hello,
I need help trying to find my mobo info for this system:
AMD k6 MMX 200Mhz
32mb RAM
6Gb HDD

Here's the info I got from msinfo and the Boot Up...
System Manufacturer -unknown-
System Model -unknown-
Award v4.51PG 08/15/97 (hehe)
VXPro+ USB Ultra rev.2A5LDH09C-00

I Need to Flash the BIOS too...
I know this is an ancient system but I want to use this system as a dedicated server. It isnt worth selling and I can have this system be orientated to scanning, printing, and school 'stuff' for my family if the gaming thing doesnt work out.
I know that 32mb of RAM *might* not cut it, so I'm gonna bump that up but I need the mobo info to see how high I can bump this system up. Documentation was probably thrown away. It IS NOT a Compaq or DELL PC System. I've tried to search this mobo out on the reviews of this site but wasnt successful.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

The PC-Chips VXpro+ board (M537DMA33), with its latest BIOS in, takes modern PC100 DIMMs up to 128 MBytes per piece (maybe even 256 MByte). CPU-wise you can use up to a Cyrix MII-333 (2.9V 75 MHz 3.5x) if you have four-jumper frequency setup (keeping PCI clock at 33 when CPU clock is 75) or MII-300 (2.9V 66 MHz 3.5x) on older boards that have three-jumper frequency setup.

hi,
That mb537dma mobo is VERY similar to the one I have but the mobo layout is kinda different. The Award Chip is parallel to the #1 PCI slot and above #3 ISA in accordance with that manual. The Socket 7 is right next to it. Now in the experiences of others, I Know that BIOS Upgrades and the Exact mobo are Very Critical with each other. Despite these *minor* differences, would it be wise to update the BIOS?
From what I'm getting from this board, VX-Pro+ mobos are the same regardless of model and maker...
