Barney 04-22-2000, 10:24 AM I don't know, but they would probably dry out, however you do it in the microwave. Ronald hd581 04-22-2000, 10:29 AM Ramen noodles? the kind in the styrofoam cup? just fill it up and give it 1.5 min. wtf 04-22-2000, 10:31 AM no i mean this "=)Maruchan Instant Lunch" Warthog 04-22-2000, 01:57 PM Sorry wtf, can't help you out. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Ramen noodles are the best for a cheap dinner. Maybe I'll go have some.... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Warthog Butler 04-22-2000, 02:23 PM Just a thought: If a guy ate Ramen Noodles in place of just one $5 meal a day, it would only take 212 days for this guy to save $1000.00, which would surely be better spent on computer upgrades than a Big Mac. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif wtf 04-22-2000, 02:28 PM no, you could save even more money if you ate 3 a day for 1 a meal, that would only cost ya $.87. Dominus 04-22-2000, 02:31 PM Forgive my ignorance, but what are Ramen noodles, what nutrition do they offer, and what do they cost? wtf 04-22-2000, 02:38 PM ramen and marachun noodles are dried noodles and have flavoring ontop (peas, meat, and powder), and when you put boiling water to cook them, or microwave them, the poder dissolves and turns into soup. as for price they are about 29cents a cup. as for nutrition, it depends on the flavor you want, but most of them arent very nutritious. but theyre still very good. socalgal 04-22-2000, 02:42 PM They are loaded with fat (I believe) and sodium. :p wtf 04-22-2000, 02:44 PM anyone try the roast beef one yet? its friggn good noresull 04-22-2000, 03:13 PM I hate to say it but, (IMO) Ramen noodles suck!!! I literally lived off of those for about 10 months, while I was in school in Phoenix. I used to like them, but now the smell of them makes me want to... You get the point! When I say I lived on them I mean, I lived on them!!! Starving student! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Warthog 04-22-2000, 03:17 PM Haven't tried the Beef yet, but I'll have to sometime. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Current favorite is Chicken flavor. This is hilarious. Never talked to anyone this much about noodles before. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif Warthog wtf 04-22-2000, 03:18 PM eat 2 a meal. and what flavor you get? wtf 04-22-2000, 03:19 PM chicken picante? akaBruno 04-22-2000, 03:28 PM Try it in your Pooter. Just, remove heatsink, very little grease, Boot and Eat. wtf 04-22-2000, 03:30 PM hehe, funny Szech 04-22-2000, 03:37 PM Yeah, you can make them in the microwave if you're really lazy. Just put it in a bowl, fill the bowl with water, then cover the bowl with a moist paper towel. Set for 2 minutes, or until noodles are soft, and eat. I should point out though, that my microwave is strong enough to make the apartment complex go dark, so you might have to set yours longer. Anyway, they disgust me now too, so I clean my hands of them now (scrub, scrub). skywalker[TSG] 04-22-2000, 04:26 PM the easy way to cook noodles is this 1 put the noodles in COLD water 2 bring to boil 3 turn the plate of but leave the noodles on 4 w8 5min 5 add any spices and some sunflower or peanut oil 6 EAT!! if u want to fry the noodles afterwards put them in the fridge(remove the soup) so that they harden the take a wok and fry up some meat and veggies with some nice asian spices pour in the noodles fry for a couple of min and the eat [This message has been edited by skywalker[TSG] (edited 04-22-2000).] Wiz 04-22-2000, 06:05 PM they are the greatest food, other than the high sodium, which will shoot your BP through the roof. bhess 04-22-2000, 06:23 PM you wouldn't last 212 days. Have you looked at the amount of sodium in those? And yes I survived on them and frozen burritos in the army. :> Barney 04-22-2000, 06:38 PM Butler,I know a man (he is 60) who is eating noodles for years every day.I bet he doesn't remember what meat tastes like.He does this for 2 reasons, his mom died about 15 years ago (before that she always took care of him)and probably never learned to take care of himself. The 2nd reason is that he can use the money he saves to buy computer parts. It's actually a real sad story. I can tell you,as I said,I know this man,I don't think anybody except from him wants to live like that! Ronald http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif wtp 04-22-2000, 06:43 PM i hate it when all the water comes out of the cup when u microwave it, and u have to clean up all the soup. friggin maruchan or ramen... SysOpt 04-22-2000, 07:12 PM Too OT.. Again, wacky threads every now and then are fine but this is getting rediculous. SysOpt.com
