hi people,i finally made it back..its been a nightmare since sunday when i installed my new board in a case(k6bv3+66).first my help never showed so i was on my own for the install.second i'm not sure why but it wouldnt recognize my drive.kept getting invalid media error.so i tried in old pc same thing..so i call the neighbors over they get me going.bad news i wanted to save data from old pc(bye bye 157 mp3's)and pictures of my car a friend scanned..so fdisk and format, rock solid.then i shut down to install my drive and cdrom and nothing, dead psu after 1 hour,so its good now.i'm using a 233 mmx chip and 66 mhz sdram at agp speed.so my questions are in bios what should my ram speeds be.i selected optimal and left, but i would like to learn more,my old phoenix was nothing like this.at stock speed it doesnt seem much better at all than my old pc except for moving data than it flys compared to my old one..i dont want to o/c just yet so any suggestions would help.

If you're running a 233 MHz CPU (at 66 MHz 3.5x I suppose), then you don't need to run the RAM on the AGP clock.

Of course performance will be similar to your old mainboard if you put the same stuff in ...

yes for now i guess it should be at cpu speed, but i'll have to put it back to go to higher fsb, when i do..what ram fields should i adjust turbo? cas2/3...and this board utilizes more than 64 megs which my last one did not.so i assumed it might be a little crisper.

What do you mean, _uses_ more than 64 MByte? Having more RAM only brings a performance gain if your applications actually needed more than you had ...
