Ive used one in my server all year, ive never had a problem whatsoever, not ONE hiccup, it runs constantly and with the original bios, im using a 750 with a Step array gfd and VOS32 @1050, GREAT price at 59$, id almost buy one as a backup for that price, but I doubt id ever need it???

Thanx guys, I'm thinking of bullding a Duron or some other socket A system..

I like to observe others success/failure before digging in.

I NEVER get cutting edge technology, too many bugs for an OLD man to work out.

I'd rather USE my pewter than constantly fiddle with it.. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Another member here pointed to a link for the same mobo for a buck Less !!

I have shame,, I couldn't resist a $60 Slot A mobo with a decent reputation.

Luck was with me and www.tigerdirect.com (http://www.tigerdirect.com) has some CPU's for really decent prices.

Like $69 for a 550mhz Athlon.

Hopefully this will go as smooth as the MSI 5169 rev 4 mobo(Socket7)did.

That one is a VERY nice mobo, quick and easy for even a moron like me to build..

Thanks gang

Hey I am not sure if this is what you want but I just got the EPoX 8KTA2. It is a SOCKET A motherboard... (not sure if you want this) I am pretty sure that this is their newest SOCKET A board. It seems to be very stable and I have a 1Ghz T-Bird, with a Geforce 2 GTS @ AGP 4x... very stable and I have yet to flash the BIOS. I paid $115 for it about 4 weeks ago. I found that price @
http://www.pricewatch.com

You can check all of the info of the board @ : http://www.epox.com/html/english/products/motherboard/ep-8kta2.htm

for starters: AGP 4x, ATA 100, 1.5GB memory Max, 6 PCI, 1 ISA (shared with one PCI). I is also (in my opinion and some others) to be a little more versitle then the AV7. It seems with settings such as the I/O voltages on the ASUS board you get 3 setting.... while with the EPoX you get 8. This setting made my system more stable when overclocking the Geforce and even more stable when not. There are a lot of things on the board like this that make it seem a little more nicer to people who want to tinker with settings. However I just saw a review for the EPoX8KTA3 and it seems even better :-)you can check it out here: http://www.ocworkbench.com/hardware/epox/8kta3/8kta3p1.htm .... I have no clue about costs but check pricewatch.com . Hope I was of some help.
