You seem to be the authority on PC Chips http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

My board (m726) and the board picture at pc chips web site have a set of pins between the J2 set and the PRN1 and inline with the COM1. This is a 14 pin set and labeled as C39
It seem not to be in my manual and I was wondering what it is for? On my board pins
7-8 are jumped.

I did not burn the bios when I powered it with the clear bios jumped and have found that the board with it present bios will not run TNT2 video. I expect that there is a flash for that.

Still waiting for the AK74-AC MB

Thanks for your comments on the C39

Bruce

C39 certainly is NOT the connector label. That's the label of a nearby (c)apacitor.

Jumpers and connectors are labelled Jxx or JPxx.

Try harder next time, please.

Downloading the manual certainly wouldn't have been a bad idea either. I did, and it says right there that this is where the "ATX form card" connects, being a slot bracket with mouse, IR, and USB connectors all on one cable.

for the manual and the latest BIOS.

Thanks Peter http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

What is the c (capacitor) for? The 7-8 pins are jumped on my board.

I have downloaded the manual and printed it out. I have ordered the ATX form card also. Just wanted to learn all I can about my board.

Thanks
Bruce
