Hi again,

I am now after the motherboard connector details for the on board sound chip. The manual only has a picture of the connector no tthe actual pinouts of J4.

Can anybody provide me with this info.

Thanks
Leslie.

Why not just get the connector? They are available from anyone who handles PC Chips, Amptron, etc mainboards... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

I have not been able to get a connector in Australia for what I consider to be a reasonable price. Hence I have made one.

So, if someone could tell me what plugs into where I can just plug it in.

So Line In the top two pins ??
Mic the Next two Pins ??
Speakers the next two pins ??

Game port the bottom or top ??

Thats all I need and I am away.
Leslie.

If you download the m767 manual at http://www.go.to/ajz you will find in it the pinout for the sound connector. I understand from a local dealer that all pcchips sound and video connectors are interchangeable, and the two he sold me worked in my m717.
