I am looking to by a new motherboard for my home computer which I built myself. I am looking to replace the systemboard and processor.
I want a 133 MHZ bus. I intend to buy a 800 MHZ proccessor now but, I want to be able to upgrade late next year to a 1.5 GHZ processor. I'm not interested in a fully integrated board because I want to put a Voodoo 5 video card in it. This will be my gaming/video capture system. I would like to look up the ratings on the board recommended by you. Thanks in advance.
I'm guessing you are going the Intel route?
If so, I'd suggest the msi bxmaster. There have been several favorable reviews of this board, one here, one at Anandtech and elsewhere.
Mine is much more stable than my abit bx6-2 was. It also has a bx/zx chipset which allows the use of the 133 fsb while keeping the pci and agp at spec.
I want to go the 800 mhz route as soon as my budget allows, along with some other goodies.
Anyway, I'd suggest this for your short list but have no idea whether it can get to 1.5 mhz. It probably will, with a bios update.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he is speaking of the AMD processors, seeing as AMD will be the ones coming out with the 1.5Ghz with 133Mhz FSB (Front Side Bus). Intel's current project, the P4, is supposedly going to have a 400Mhz FSB.

as far as i know the p4 will be using a diff series of motherboards. so basically what is on the market now is as high as it will get with the p3. not sure about the plan for amd, but their highest on the market is 1.2 ghz and the 800 tbird is not too pricey right now. if you go the amd route the abit kt7 or asus a7v is what i would get.
