Hey guys,
Just recently, some relatively high qualtity landsat images of Nellis Air Force Base, part of the larger "Area 51", have become available at http://www.terraserver.com
Although the images are only two years old, they are not illegally taken since the 1992 “Open Skies” agreement provides for satellite monitoring to check whether military facilities were in compliance with arms control agreements.
So for all of you conspiracy theorists and X-files fans, this is a chance to take a look at the most secure and classified military installation in the world.
Unfortunately, I couldn't pick out any little green men from the photos, nor could I see any exotic aircraft.Of course the USAF knows when there is a satellite overhead. Now if only the satellites could see in the dark, because the night time is the time to watch Area 51.
"I Want to believe" do you?

Thanks for the link. I want to believe, but I need 100% un-questionable, granite rock-solid proof. Actually, I do believe. To think that we are the only intelligent life in the universe is absurd. Billions of stars in our galaxy. Billions of galaxies. Galaxies for as far as we can see. To think that only one star in countless stars has a planet that has evolved intelligent life is extremely unlikely. The scientists even think there may be life (bacteria, and moss and maybe even little fishies) may be living on one of Saturns moons. I hope so.

Link dead 4 me????
....you are not talking about my people again are you?
yeah,,the link was dead for me as well, but i posted it anyway figuring that their servers probably got cooked from all the x-files junkies(including myself)accessing them all at once.
Once, a professor from Tulane University, i forget the guys name, theorised that even if there were intelligent life else where in the cosmos, that they would already be dead and gone. The foundation for this theory, i can't remember. "SO WHAT" i say, if these alien civilizations died out 200 million years ago or longer, it's still possible for us to detect their radio signals, if any, which could just be arriving here anyday now. Douglas Adams, author of the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, said that in a nearly infinite universe that there is a nearly infinite number of possibilities.
Although i dont think Mr Adams was serious, actually he didn't say it himself,,one of the characters in his book said it,, anyway,, what he wrote does have a certain logical and sensible appeal to it.
and besides,,what one believes and doesn't believe,,doesn't really have much affect on what actually is and isn't.......
they are out there, there is too much circumstantial and physical evidence to deny it.

There not necessarily ALien Spacecraft. They're UFO's.THey could just be new aircraft that give a tactical advantage which no side would divulge to the enemy.
Aliens I think are just a ploy to distract attention away from the logical truth. If they were true alien spacecraft I think we'd be able to go further than Mars.A s I see it the only UFO sightings occur only within our atmosphere.Surely a satellite would have seen one by now or even some of the astronauts on the moon.
I don't doubt that there are Aliens but I don't think we've had first contact yet.
I've seen no rock solid proof and at least 95% of the rest of the earth can safely say that.I'd like to meet one of those people that think they were brought aboard a ship and anal probed I think it'd beinterested to hear what they reck on the ship and everything is like.

Although I have not been convinced that aliens have been to Earth, I did see a UFO once. I called the State Patrol to report it, and about 15 minutes after the call, they called me back! Even though I saw something that I cannot explain, I refuse to call that "proof". I do not want to form an opinion, I want to know fact.
~edit I got a message from terraserver that there were too many users on the site.

I'm a believer too, I think that there is extraterrestrial life out there. It can't be that we are alone in a galaxy so big that it goes beyond our imagination. So many things that we haven't discovered, explored or studied. Space exploring is in it's beginning years. But when technology grows and we get further in the galaxy we will discover more. And all those countless UFO sightings, millions, there will be fake in it, but real also. And the secret 'Area 51' base. Nobody knows what there is inside of it. Unless you work there. But 'Area 51' could be a cover,a distraction for the real base that looks like every other base and nobody cares what's happening inside. But that's unlikeley. There is just too much possible proof of life outside earth. You can't deny the facts, but you can't confirm them either.
I hope I was somewhat clear.
Also a dead link for me too.

The modern belief in aliens is very much the medieval belief in God - that there is someone out there with the immense power to help or destroy us. It in some way helps shirk responsibility for our actions, individually or communally.
Isn't it far scarier to believe that we are on our own and totally responsible for our own fate? I think I subscribe to this view - and it's better for us in the short term http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
If there was someone out there with the ability to get to our planet, I for one wouldn't be broadcasting where we live...

There's bound to be some life out there U-96.
But for all we know they could just be
homo-sapiens just like us.Or what if we're the first to discover Spacetravel. We were undoubtedly slowed technically by the dark ages but I doubt were that far behind. Then again they may have space capabilities and merely not care to initate diplomatic matters. They could be quite happy out there on their own.

If there is intelligent life out there, then it could be that they are far more advanced, equal, or behind us in technology. Where they live are other sources to build or construct. The basic sources are not the same in the whole galaxy.
