MOBO help

Hey guys,

I am installing an Asus K7V slot A mobo. I have hooked everything up. All jumpers are set to defaults but my box wont boot up. The fans kick in for a about 5 seconds and it all shuts off. Any suggestions?

Check your power switch cable to mobo. Make sure that the connector isn't on backwards.

Just guessing, but a faulty or mismounted CPU can cause the symptoms you describe. Make sure no pins are bent on the CPU & that it's tightly inserted and secure.

When that happened to me, and it was my HD that wasn't connected right. I would double ck every thing again.
