Ive been given some PC133 ECC memory.
I was planning to go for an Intel 815e but they dont support ECC, will the new VIA chipset boards do the trick ??

PS It also needs to support a CPU upto 1Ghz

VIA's chipsets can use ECC on SDRAM. Intel's 8xx chipsets can't.

CPU support isn't a matter of chipset (other than for certain CPU bus frequencies being supported or not). It's more a matter of the mainboard's voltage regulator strength, and enough free space around the CPU socket to fit the huge fans that those high-clocked P-IIIs require. Mainboard design, not choice of chipset.
