Ok, this is the 3rd post for my new KT7, sorry about it.

I had set it up on a quality 250Watt PSU with only mobo/CPU/AlphaHSF/GFX/NIC/HD and ran great.

Today I added a CDrom, a soundcard, and a second HD and while everything works great and stable, when I clock to 900 (like yesterday) I get random reboots or freezes. I never get higher than 41C and there's plenty of voltage on the chip.

Before I go out and buy a 300+ Watt PSU, do you think it is the PSU? what are the symptoms of a weak PSU?

Thanks again.

What voltages are you using now?
A friend un-neccessarily bought a 300 (didnt fix it) all he needed was to up the voltage in the bios to end his errors bsod's etc, had a 235watt which we eventually put back in, this was on a A7V tho, ASUS recommends a minimun 235 psu, we have all heard how these AMD's suck the power up, 300 seems to be the "preferred" minimum...

It does sound like a lack of voltage, like thekingofpain said. First had my Kt7 raid runnig just fine on a 250 psu. I got a new case so it came with a 400 pcu, but thats besides the point. Try up your Voltage a notch.

Another thought, what chip are you overclocking? What are your fsb and multiplier settings? There are alot of different things to set in the Bios to make that baby run stable.

Thanks for the help...
It's a D650, but it's a weak chip (won't do anything higher that 900). I ran it @ 1.85V stable before I put all the other hardware in. Now I took it to 1.94V (I've modified my mobo) and it took longer to reboot. It's weird cause the chip ran @ 1.8V for 2 months now and problems only started when I loaded the system with hardware. Any ideas?

BTW, Fast Writes still show up disabled although both enhanced perf and Fast writes are enabled in the BIOS. The GFX is an ATI RAGE FURY PRO 32 (AGP4x) that supports fast writes.

When you have Enhance Performace enabled the fast write wont work but If you disable Enhan. pref. fast write will work. Its a problem with all the KT7 boards.
