Well heres the deal. I just got a new computer desk and a new chair for my home office(woohoo!!!) Whats weird is that my new chair smells like pot(somebody told me that cause I've never smelled it personally http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif). Every time I sit down and compress the cushions I get this big whiff of it. I have half a mind to cut the bloody thing open and see if I've been sitting on a pound of grass for 2 weeks. Anyway just thought it was srange and had to share.

Do you find yourself REALLY REALLY craving the time you spend sitting at your computer? Can you hardly wait to plop down in front of it? Do you get up and down a lot for silly things, just so you can sit down and compress your cushions again?

LOL jUst kidding around... that is very odd. Most new chairs have some sort of smell. It is the off-gassing of the materials used.. but not generally like that smell... although i couldn't tell you what it smells like, maybe your buddy is messing around with you.

Ya know now that You mention it guys, ever since I got this chair I've gained 10 pounds, I have to drink about 6 gallons of water a day to get rid of my cotton mouth, and I've been in an unexplainable good mood. I'm thinking whatever I payed for the chair really was a bargain.

There has to be some kind of hemp fiber or something in this chair because there is nothing else this smell could be. I live in Holland, and you will probably know that it is perfectly legal to smoke weed and hashies here in Holland(halleluja).

But I can tell ya, I smoked my share of spliffs in my life, but never have I seen a chair that smells like pot.

it is entirely possible that it is actually filled with an alternative substance. customs here in fla. have found such things in lumber [sliced hollowed and reglued ]cans of baby formulae,concrete statues,the list goes on forever.if it was imported it may be suspect. i bought a new ford s.w. that had a sandwitch in the headliner. lol barry

I am from the Netherlands,like Ultima.It's legal to buy & smoke that stuff,but I won't.I don't even smoke,which is a lot more acceptable here than it is in the states.
But if there is 'grass' in your chair,it is probably more worth than you payd.
