I have an ASUSA7V. I recently bought a Viper II AGP videocard.
After that I connot reboot the system. When I try to do that, i rear bips and nothing on my monitor after windows shut down.
Any idea? It's like there's no videocard on the system.

So far every problem that i have read regarding this issue has been resolved by getting updated graphic card drivers.

SoDead,
Isn't it a little hard to load new drivers when the machine doesn't even boot ?

1BrdGirl,
Nice try, but the machine doesn't reboot. The only way one can know this behavior occurs is to BOOT, then attempt a Restart and have that fail.
Anyway, update the video drivers. Also, have you tried booting to safe mode and seeing if any ghost VGA cards exist in Device Mangler? Remove any extra monitors as you don't need them either...

Sorry, but my problems doesn't seems to be in Windows. If I shut down and power up it again nothing happens. When I reboot the system is the problem. I connot see even the BIOS warning, but system continue to run and I can hear windows sound on my speakers.

Yes, It's a Bios version problem. I've tried 1004C and It was the solution, but my processor used to work very hot. So I decided to use my old 1003 BIOS.

gustavom,
What do you mean you are using the 1003 bios to keep it cooler?? I don't understand, isn't the chip running at the same speed therefore temp. Wouldn't it be more like the 1004 bios reports the temp better??
Please elaborate mate.
PS if u have a asus please reply to my temp thread I posted lets all compare results.
Regards
Robert

Is it one long bip followed by 3 little bips? If so, then try replacing your Vidcard just for testing! It might be the problem.
