I'm hooking my cables to my Kt7 board, I have IDE1/cdrom1(72Xtruex)-cdrom2(32x)
IDE2/cdr(10/4/32x). IDE3/30g hd IDE4/30g hd
Question? For RAID-0 do I use separate IDE's
or use IDE3/ 30g master and 30g slave
2nd Question? ata-66/100 blue tab cable(have 2 cables w/ mobo both appear the same except 1 has a notch through cable( purpose???) which do I use? diff.?
Reason for 2 cdroms is less sync errors using cdr and cdrom2 and kenwood 72x is blazing fast transfer rate for data but to many errors when trying to burn using cdr.
First attempt at RAID or ATA-66/100, appreciate and advise and help. thanks....PW

Q! Separate IDE's with separate cables. Each drive of the array will be a master for that IDE. You should have recieved 3 drive cables. The one with the slot in it is for your floppy drive. The other 2 HDD cables are best used in your RAID array as they support up to a ATA 100 HDD, although they will also work for ATA66 and ATA33. It is important for the drives to be identical (same part number)
