I'm curious. What OS are web servers (or any other type of server) running these days?

I'm looking for a hard numbers breakdown, and hopefully a link to the source of the info/study/poll.

PC Computing May 2000 stated 29% of the Web Servers are running Linux. I was wondering what the other 71 are using.

I've tried finding this information on the internet but I guess I just don't know how to pose the question.

Check out http://www.netcraft.com/whats/

That will let you know what a particular site is running. They also have break-downs of what other sites are running and what the most popular sites use.

Or if you are bored, go look around at your fav sites and find out what they use. For example:
www.sysopt.com (http://www.sysopt.com) is running Apache/1.3.4 (Unix) on Solaris
