I'm using the EPOX MVP3G2 , I've never been able to get this board to allow windows98
to reboot, I always have to power it down
to get a reboot.
Is this a BIOS problem, I've heard that K6II
CPU owners have had this problem for a long time, and yes I use a K6II 500 Mhz CPU.
any suggestions would be appreciated

I have a machine running on an Epox EP-58MVP3C-M with a K62 450. I never had a soft reboot problem with the setup until I hooked a USB hub into it. Are you using a USB hub of any sort?
Also, reading between the lines here, you mention that all K62 users have a problem... That was booting with a K62 chip above a certain rating (around 450 Mhz I believe) with Windows 95 - not 98. If that is what you are referring to then that should not be the problem. As mentioned below - a BIOS update can work wonders - visit the Epox site and flash to the latest if you are comfortable with that.

Barry, I have an epox MVP3G-5 with AMD K6-2 500 MHz, and I had the exact problem. I went to the epox website, under their support page and downloaded the program there to flash my BIOs, and I haven't had any problems since!!
