how do I make my comp recognize my UDMA-66 Harddisk drive (Fireball LCT 15.3 GB)? The BIOS reads that it is only UDMA-33

You will have to add a Promise (or similar) pci ATA66 card or get a new board. Check Onvia for the Promise card.

The on-board IDE controller is UDMA33 only.
So, like Underclocked said, you have to use a dedicated UDMA66 controller (like the Promise ULTRA 66) to take full advantage of your UDMA66 HD.

Spare yourself the trouble - you won't notice any speed improvement in real life, especially not with not-really-multitasking operating systems like Windows. Just run your UDMA66 or UDMA100 HDD off the UDMA33 controller that you have.

(ASUS is kind of lazy here - ALi has an updated revision of the 1543C south bridge that is capable of UDMA66, yet ASUS hasn't bothered to use it on the P5A series ...)
