I have built a system using the above MB. I cannot get it to power down. Using Win98 it appears to shut down OK but upon restarting freezes before entering BIOS. After switching off at mains switch and then on again everything functions correctly. Im running a Celeron 500, 64MB of PC100 on Win98 SE

Generic advice ...

Use the latest BIOS (from www.ecs.com.tw (http://www.ecs.com.tw) in your case), the latest VGA, chipset and LAN drivers from www.sis.com.tw (http://www.sis.com.tw) (630 chipset), and the latest sound drivers from www.cmedia.com.tw (http://www.cmedia.com.tw) (8738 device) as well as the latest modem drivers (also www.ecs.com.tw). (http://www.ecs.com.tw).) This should cure those Windows restart problems.
