looking for a dual socket 370 motherboard. i am only familiar with the abit bp6, and wondered what else was out there...
it would start with dual celeron 400's which will not be overclocked. the system is going to be a Counter Strike server and will run 24/7 and i will not have easy access, so stability is a must. but since i am so poor, price is also a very big factor...any suggestions would be much welcomed...

The MSI 694D Pro appears to be the better product in my opinion, but I can't find a source which currently stocks it. It has a much higher overclocking potential than the Tyan Tiger 133, mainly due to the independant CPU voltage controls.

The Tyan is the cheaper board, with an average price of $175. The MSI could be slightly higher upon retail release, expect to see it around $200 average.

About forgot, these boards are flipchip compatible. I would look into investing into some lower end P3 Coppermines. If you are interested, make sure to get P3 CPU's with a core stepping of cb0 or higher. Earlier steppings will not work correctly in SMP situations.

Good Luck,
Robert Richmond
