I just got this motherboard and now my P3 700 not overclocked is at 45c idle. I have a thin layer of that radio shack goo on too. On the old motherboard (FIC FB11) it was only at 37c idle. I'm using the stock intel h/f. With a GORB I managed to bring it down to 43c. I know the temp is wrong, it has to be. With a quick search through some other news group I found at least 2 other people with the same problem.

Please help

I've got an Asus mobo that uses a program called Asus probe, I've found it to be very inacurate at times, I've had much better luck with a program called Hardware Monitor Pro, you can get it here, it's shareware, so try it if you like it you can buy it, I believe there is also a free version. http://www.hmonitor.com/

We'll I decided to play a little of Unreal Tourny ok about an hour and half http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Right after i existed the game I checked the temp with sandra and it was 70c!!! I almost began to cry.... I turned it off and rebooted. I'm scared to do anything rite now besides type and surf the web. I really do doubt that it reached 70c because when i touched the Gorb it was only warm.
