I have Compaq 5184 with AMD K6-2/380...can't view bios string...tried the one key on boot up, get keyboard error but no # across bottom left of screen, next screen is win98 config. safe mode select stuff...saw the long bios number once by accident when I hit ctrl+alt+del to end a locked program, but have not been able to get it back...can somebody tell me how to access the bios string number so I can I.D. my motherboard on Compaq? Thanks ....
