You should be fine with a single 128MB SDRAM DIMM. In the good old days, you usually had to add ram in pairs (2x16 or 2x32 72-pin SIMMS, etc.) but with SDRAM this is not required.
Also, some mobo's require that a single SDRAM module be placed in a specific DIMM socket. Yours may not, but check just to be sure.
Have fun!

thanks lost. that is what i was figuring.
Yeah, Definetly get (1) 128mb Memory Module. Why waste a precious DIMM socket for (2) 64MB Ram Modules? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

well, some older mobo's couldnt take just 1 set of memory , like 128, you had to put 2 -64's in there...but i was pretty sure with this new mobo, that i could just put 128 in one....thanks fellas

I am building a new system, and i have an ABIT KA7-100 mobo (4 DIMM SLOTS). I was just curious, would it be ok to put (1) 128mb of ram in one of the slots, or should i buy (2)64 RAM and put one each in 2 banks? I know that some mobo you have to do this, and i checked my manual, but couldnt quite decipher this particular. I am getting ready to purchase some kingston, and was just curious before i screwed up.....
any help would be appreciated
