Who knows if pci 2.2 and 2.1 are backward compatible to 2.0. I am a cheapskate and want to know if I could buy a newer video card to use on my old fx chipset board.

every thing is backward compatible when you talk about PC standards thats whats wrong with PC's they have to make them backward compatible
