I have an emachine, etower 333k,(Tri-Gem motherboard?),with an AMIBIOS(C)1999,an HP deskjet printer and windows 98. I tried to check whether the parallel port was set to enable EPP mode,I found it said the onboard parallel port was set to Auto, and parallel port mode was Normal. However,some lines in the pripheral setup menu were in light gray, and I could not select them.They included
(1)EPP version :N/A
(2)Parallel port IRQ :Auto
Can someone please tell me what this means since I want to plug in a Mustek scanner that calls for an EPP mode.
