I will be using Windows 98 when I do this. How do I reformat the harddrive? NDC 09-02-2000, 12:35 AM Restart the system and press F8 and select DOS PROMPT ONLY and type the following at DOS prompt. format c: (for full format) format c: /q (for quick format) format c: /s (to make bootable) [This message has been edited by NDC (edited 09-02-2000).] TOAD6147 09-02-2000, 07:44 PM Is your whole HDD in one partition? In otherwords, do you have anything more that c: on one HDD? How big is the partition? If you have multiple partitions and you're looking for more room you may want to fdisk first to make one large DOS partition. One problem with the last post: if you format from the HDD and don't make it bootable with the /s switch your machine won't boot anymore unless you use a boot disk. And unless you have Win98 copied to another HDD you won't be able to install Win98 from a CD-ROM with out the DOS drivers installed. Win98 should have an install disk with it that makes all this a piece of cake. If you aquired the CD-ROM without the disk drop me an e-mail and I'll explain in more detail what to do.
