Start with the basics....Make sure CPU and Memory and Vidcard are Firmly and Fully seated.

Sounds like one of your parts is not seated right, or all the way in...

make sure ur CPU is seated ALL THE WAY...the casing should seat past that line of capacitors next to the power connector...

sorry for bother you guys,
many thanks in advance first.
my original system is,

p2 - 233
64 MB Ram
2 HDD + 1 Zip drive + 1 CDRom dr + 1 Floppy Dr
Viper 770 Video
ISA Soudnd card
LX board manufacturrer by Intel itself

there is few connector from my casing:
all are label as follow:

- turbo sw
- power sw
- power led
- hdd led
- speaker
- reset

and all of them can fit into the old board

the new board, which is a gift from a friend,
Abit BE6 II

have additional connector required,
which I do not know is it essential for having that connector or not, it is called key lock connector.

the above is my first question

the 2 nd question is,although I am following the maual came with the board,
but for some connector, let say hdd led,
I know it is where is going to plug in but I do not know which side to plug in, I assume since I saw the HD light indicator on when I power ont he computer, mean I am int he rght track, pls correct me if I am wrong

When the time I install, I just plug all the nessesary component such as HDD IDE cable, power Supplu cable, CPU, fan, and my display card.

I did not plug the floopy in, as I need to change the fdd controller cable to fit in the new board.

Now after I finish all, I press the power button to try boot up my computer,
power indicator is on, I can hear the sound of fan spinning, and hdd indicator light on + power light n, that;'s it.

The monitor did not display anything and my key board does not have any signal indicate the computer is eing boot up ...

Hope this bring you an idea of how my problem look like

thanks
