I'm preparing to upgrade me sister's Gateway 200 486/66 PC an a shoestring budget. Would like to keep the case. Which motherboard and processer would be the best option.

Would like to keep the case. Which motherboard and processer would be the best option. MR COMPUTER 03-29-1999, 03:33 PM I DID ONE OF THESE FOR A SCHOOL NOT LONG AGO. IF ITS THE SAME-IT TAKES A STANDARD AT BOARD. AMPTRON 9100 (ONBOARD SOUND AND VIDEO),WITH A 200 WINCHIP AND 32MEG OF SDRAM WOULD BE THE CHEAPEST WAY OUT.BUT FOR $20.00 DOLLARS,YOU CAN GET A NEW CASE AND NOT HAVE TO LOOK AT THAT AWFUL GATEWAY LOGO!!! AL darrellray 08-27-2000, 06:11 PM I also have three gateway 486Dx - 33 and 486Dx2 -66 MFG Date is 02/10/94 and 11/23/94 what will be a good board to use without change cases. thank darrell SysOpt.com
