I just downloaded NeoPlanet from:
www.neoplanet.com (http://www.neoplanet.com)

It seems to me that its functionality is not quite as good as ie and outlook express, but it seems a slick program for 2 megs worth.
I was wondering if anyone else runs it, or has any comments or suggestions.....

I tried it several months ago and it really didn't like my system setup I guess. I got tired of getting blue screened and finally uninstalled it. Some people have no problems with it apparently. But for me...

I tried it a year or so ago. It turned out that Neoplanet was basically just a skin of IE. It won't work without it. Since skins add only to look, not to functionality, and IE is customizable enough for me, I abandoned it pretty quickly.

BTW, there's another interesting add-on app to IE, NetCaptor (http://www.netcaptor.com/). Check it out if interested.

Ahhh...1st post in about 2 weeks!! I'm finally back in the game! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Oh...sorry, about Neoplanet, I also have it on my puter...it is a skin of IE5, but it also other features like "clubs", of which u can join and have them listed within the browser. Also u can incorporate E-mail with in the browser too. I think there's also an Instant Messenger that comes with it too. If ur into more of the look rather than the use of IE5, I'd keep it, otherwise nuke the prog. and recover disk space http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I prefer Window Blinds, which skins everything (almost) in Windows.

Since IE is part of the OS, it gets skinned also. See pic:

Hey guys,

I seem to recall that neoplanet is based
upon i.e.
That could also be the reason why it is so small.
Somebody told me this or I've read it somewhere, but I'm pretty confident that it is based on IE

NEoplanet just customizes IE.
I did not like it.

I have to concurr with every one else. It uses up a load of memory and it was constantly freezing and flaking out on me(illegal Ops.) And it was always updating itself with even more useless features--A real annoyance. I finally got rid of it. But when I did IE was totally messed up and I had to re-install it. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

To those you who have been contemplating getting it..DON'T
