Ok this is what I need. I need to find a motherboard for a pIII 800 Mhz, I do not need a board for overclocking as it is for my wifes uncle all I need is a board that is upgradeable and STABLE.
Here is a list of what will be used in this system...
PIII 800 Mhz
Plextor CDRW
128mb MICRON MEM
voodoo3 3000
WD 13gig HD(7200rpm)
Sound blaster live-value sound card
I havent decided on a modem yet so this list is the best I can do, hope someone can help
Thanks

You don't say which style PIII. I'd recommend FCPGA, Slot 1 is being phased out.

I would look to Abit for the requirement you describe.

This is the board I have in my system at home -

GA-BX2000+ http://www.giga-byte.com

bought it from http://www.axiontech.com for $138

You want extremely stable - this has an intel 440BX chipset in it - extremely stable.... Also has a dual BIOS.

full ATX form factor - 6 expansion slots

This will definitely fill the bill.

I'm also looking for a new motherboard for a PIII 750/800.

I need the following:

Must be very stable
AGP 4x
4 x PCI
1 x ISA
3 Dimm slots (min)

I don't need:

On board audio or video
AMR slot
The ability to overclock

Anyone got any recommendations?

Simon
