I was looking on asus site and they mention that the p2l97 goes up to Cel 533. The jumpers and manual say the max multiplier is 5x, so does anybuddy know how to jump this higer? I emailed Asus tech but recieved no answer.
Any pointers.... Thanks

Hi,

Apparently, with a new BETA bios, the P2L97 support the celeron 500MHz (7.5 multiplier).

I found the info here (http://www.asus.com.tw/products/techref/tech-report/qa-mb0999.html)

Celerons ignore the multiplier setting from the mainboard anyway. So if you have a BIOS that supports the original Celeron w/ L2 cache, then it doesn't matter if it's a 300A or a 533 or anything inbetween. Just avoid the 533A and up, these are totally different and need their own hardware and BIOS support.
