abit bp6 will not boot up with 600mhz celeron as they require 1.65v and these boards, on finding new proc they default to 2v. even if you using another proc to put in manual settings. any ideas to get round this
ive flashed the bios and performed the normal fpga mod (cut pun and join resets) . im running on a modded slocket now using fpga ! in a board which has bios support (ITS IN MY OTHER MOTHERBOARD)

Are you sure you're on a BP6? The BP6 supports dual socket370 CPUs. How would you use a slotket? Are you refering to the Neo S370 adapter? Also, the official BP6 bioses from Abit do not have the PIII microcode, so you'll have to use a modified one if you want the FC-PGA voltsges (1.5-2.0). I'd reccomend the "Newer Experimental RU final bios w/ PIII Microcode by Ron" which can be found here (http://bp6.gamesquad.net/bios.phtml). It's been running my Celeron 566A at 935mhz just fine for about a month now.

HAS ANYONE OUT THERE MODDED BOARDS. ps mat sorry i wasnt clear enough i was only mentioning i was on a modded slocket board to say ive done the mod before and it was my other pc.

Markz - I'd really suggest you take a look at the BP6.com message board here (http://216.247.220.192/Forum/). There's an incredible wealth of info on problems just like yours. Just don't get your hopes up about running dual Celeron II's - it can't be done.
