I right now have an Asus P3B-F motherboard that won't run my Elsa Erazor X2 stable with P3 700s. 3Dmark 2000 crashes while loading a test. I bought a V5 5500 a few days ago which is very stable whether I have a Celeron 533 or a P3 700 on that motherboard. 64MB Prophet II GTS is less stable than the Erazor.

I'm thinking of returning my V5 for a refund and buying a new motherboard. I'm thinking about buying a MSI BX Master motherboard. Would this motherboard combined with a P3 700 a Geforce give me stability problems? I want to get my Geforce to run stable with a P3 700 chip.

I want to add that my P3 700 is slot 1 and I want to stick with an Intel chipset.

I had the same problems with by Gigabyte BX2000. The reason for the crashes is quite simple. The mobo does only supply 2.0V to the AGP, but the GeForce needs 3.3V.
On the other hand, the Voodoo5 has an external power supply (I think so, at least), so it does not suck the power out of the mobo.
I'm looking for a new mobo as well, but I'm gonna change to Socket A, I think.
Check out www.asus.com (http://www.asus.com) or www.abit.nl, (http://www.abit.nl,) these are the two types I would recommend. Good luck!
