MB-P9PVTXPRO2 is the number on the mother board. I can find no other. It uses AMI Bios. It is not running sufficiently to use a Bios string number utility program under Windows.
This board is running a Socket 7 233 MHz Intel chip. It is an ATX form factor. I really NEED the diagram, manual and connection directions for this mobo, but I need the manufacturer!
Bios string: 51-0831-001437-00101111-071595-M571-007_66_M571-H

PC Chips M571 or Amptron PM9100. I prefer the Amptron site. Loads quicker for me... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
www.amptron.com (http://www.amptron.com)
EDIT: Are you sure its ATX? Should be an AT that will run ATX also.

Thanks for the info, Mr. Computer, I'll check! The board has ATX stamped on it, and though it is configured a bit differently than the three other ATX boards I've built on, i.e., the FDD socket/channel is on the opposite end of the board than the IDEs, all the serial port, modem, slot board terminals, integrated terminals like the video and audio, mouse and keyboard come out of the back of the case like other descriptions of ATX boards I've read. But I'm far from an authority!
Again, thx!

The only microATX board with "TXpro-II" chipset label that has been made is the M596. You might well have one of those with the wrong BIOS in it, or it might well be that the M596 is a close enough sibling of the M571 to share one BIOS.

Thx Peter & Mr. Computer. I looked at www.amptron (http://www.amptron) and my mobo appears to be a (aka) PM9100. Interesting. I appreciare the effort. How did you fellow members procure your info?
Thx.

Simple - I use them a lot.
The 9100A and B are identical to the PC-Chips M571 v3.2(A) and v7.0(A), while the 9100C and D are M571LMR minus the LAN chip, and finally the 9100LM is the M571LMR.

Same as Peter. I use them a lot. Good board that has been around for a while. Look next to the keyboard connector for your version number. V 3.2a or V 7 will determine which bios file you need for an update... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
