If no else posts/emails you the file, you could try one of these if you know the size of the file: http://ftpsearch.lycos.com/cgi-bin/search?query=vbaen.olb&doit=Search&form=medium If you do have the disk, go to http://search.microsoft.com/us/default.asp and enter the name of the file; it will lead to you the article where the file is located on the disk. The MS DLL Database seems to carry files for only Excel 2000/97! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif CujoRbd 04-15-2000, 02:08 PM well, i got that file (thanks, socalgal!), but apparently i still need more files or something. if i try to open up excel, an error window pops up and says "an error occured initializing the vba libraries". i'm not sure what that means, so if anyone may know, i'd appreciate the answer. to clarify, socalgal was right in assuming that i don't have the setup disks. my dad borrowed the disks from someone (who is now a former boss) and set it up. (don't worry, we bought a license! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif) his former boss will NOT lend them to us again to set it up, so we're SOL on that part. if anyone has any clue as to what i should do, i'd appreciate it. thanks! Dallasmcse 04-16-2000, 07:52 AM Now that Office 2000 is out, many places are discounting their remaining stock of Office 97 upgrades. I think this would ultimately be a much more satisfactoy solution for you. (and more user features, as well.) Try this site http://www.distinctivelydiff.com/ Or http://www.pricewatch.com/ CujoRbd 04-16-2000, 08:10 PM i'd more than love to upgrade, but i don't have any money for it and my dad is too cheap to buy anything. if anybody has the setup file(s) for office, could you please send me them or something. my dad NEEDS excel to print out something for his taxes. thanks!
