Anyone interested in the draft?
I think Pittsburgh is going to be very sorry, a few years down the road, that they didn't pick QB Chad Pennington from my alma mater. He reminds me of my man Joe. There's a chance he could go to San Francisco now. I'd love to see that.

A boy from my little hometown may be drafted, but not until tomorrow. He'd be the first, so we're all a little excited about that around here.

Anyone else out there interested in the draft?

Dwight Clark and then Jerry Rice. And what round did they go in?

My point is, how often do these experts make mistakes in the draft? I just think several teams are gonna be kicking themselves for passing on Pennington in a couple of years.

I hope things work out for Pittsburgh, I like them and that's why I wish they had picked Chad.

Grrrrr.... I live in New England and my Patriots don't have much to look forward to in this year's draft. All because of Parcells and that bad bad New York team (Jets) http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

lots of mistakes...i saw buress play a few games this year on the tube and was very impressed with his ability to catch the ball,he blocks too...my point is...a qb is only as good as the talent around him....ask john elway....

Hey at least my Saints did ok in hte first round today. They got...uh...noone! No 1st round picks thanks to Ditka. And who the heck took a kicker in the first round?!? I know the guy from FSU is really great but that is a bit odd. I think it was a wasted pick.

What if he's not coachable? Talk is that he's immature and has a bad attitude, thinks he already knows it all.

Besides, what round did Joe Montana go in?

Third Round - 82nd pick overall

I'm a life-long Browns fan (HEY! STOP THROWING THINGS AT ME! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif ), and I was pretty interested in the first couple rounds! Penn State (being from PA) is my fav college team, and I was psyched to see Brown and Arrington go in the first round... although I'd rather have them another year at PSU!!!

Anyway, that's a big gamble on that kicker Janikowski from FSU... he's under investigation right now for bribery. He could be deported back to Poland if he's found guilty (which I hope he is.. make these idiots responsible for their actions). Seems like a dangerous pick to me.. could vaporize with one ruling!

Then we sit back and see if these kids (!) can live up to their billings!
