I changed the hard drive in a computer with a Jetboard mobo with SIS 5571 chip set. Now the computer will not boot from a startup disk to the A prompt. It displays "Verifying DMI data pool" goes down a line and displays a "9". Can anyone tell me what is causing this. I tried clearing the bios.

Make sure the boot order is setup right.....A/C/CDROM. Or something to that nature. Just as long as the A: drive is first followed by the C: drive. Also, be sure the HD is setup right with the jumpers setup properly for your configuration.

If you have'nt already, take good look at the cabling to the drive. Make sure it's firmly connected at both ends and that it's not reversed. Make sure the power lead is connected as well. If the floppy drive light stays on all the time, that'a a sure sign that the cable is reversed.
