I have a ABIT VA6 motherboard and the USB ports never worked right from the beggining ..im in the process of looking for a new Mobo... with the VIA133a chipset the ASUS P3V4X i had in mind...can someone tell me if the USB works ok.. i dont know if it was the Mobo or chipset that causes the USB to not work Properly http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif thx :-)

I have a P3V4X and the USB works fine. Have you made sure the USB is enabled in the bios and what OS are you using.

Thank you Brydon :-)Usb is enabled in my BIOS I'm running win98se ... everything appeared to be working with the USB until my devices would malfunction example: my USB Microsoft sidewinder precision pro would work fine than malfunction all of a sudden..i talked to a friend of mine he couldn't use his USB either : ( same board...

You'll need to install USB driver from VIA website. http://www.viatech.com/drivers/index.htm
