Once the bios flash was complete, did you go back in to the bios and re-setup the CMOS settings to match the hardware and preferences you have? That will be required in order for it to work properly again.

Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : BIOS updated, but still a problem. I have a brand new hard drive here, and I was planning to reinstall windows for my semi-annual "toilet flushing" next week. But I might as well get started tomorrow. I suppose reinstalling everything from scratch should solve all my troubles. Thanks again for all your help. TomB 07-05-2000, 01:28 AM I just installed a PIII 700 Coppermine in an Abit BE6 mb. I updated the BIOS and it recognized the CPU fine. But now I keep getting a blue screen fatal exception error. It happens when I first start windows, after the login screen, or if I start most applications (games), although browsers don't seem to bother it. Will updating all my drivers fix this? SysOpt.com
