Hey guys,

I've got a mobo with the amd chipsets on them, ya know the northbridge etc.

But recently I went to the amd site to update my drivers.
I found an agp miniport driver version 4.61.
ide driver 1.24 and irq 1.00

I thought, well let's update, since the specs for the drivers were correct.
So, I did.
Then I rebooted, and immediately icq had problems connecting, internet was down and my email had gone to hell.

So, I uninstalled those drivers, but it didn't work.
From this point on, I don't trust Amd drivers anymore, as far as I'm concerned, they can take those drivers and ***** em where the sun don't shine.

Pim.

BTW Has anyone else had this problem????

Ohh and sorry 'bout the language Socalgal

I sympathize with you. Or is that empathize... Anyway, my policy now is to avoid upgrading ANY drivers or software unless I need to, regardless of the Tinker Temptation Syndrone from which we all suffer. I hooked up to the Net under Win2000 and saw there was an update at the MS site. I downloaded & installed same and I began having problems with that OS since. Fortunately I dual boot with Win98se!
