Hi folks.

I need some major help figuring out which motherboard will support the hardware I want, as I know nigh well nothing about what motherboards are out there, what ones do what, which'd be good for what I need, etc. Heeeelp! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

Really Important Stuff:

The motherboard MUST support Non-Maskable Interrupt (NMI) so my already-purchased Sound Blaster Live! functions in DOS.

Important Stuff:

The motherboard must also support 4X AGP, and is also capable of detecting my SCSI CD-RW drive (so I can install Windows 98 or whatever from CD and not have to buy an IDE CD-ROM drive--will get a bootable SCSI card in case that helps).

Hardware to Support:

- Pentium III 800-866 MHz (133 MHz FSB) and up (depending on what is in the $600 range when I buy).
- Rambus RIMMs (getting one 256 MB chip @ 600 MHz)

Everything Else:

- Dual Processor an option, in case I want to use Windows 2000. But not important, as I can't afford two CPUs now. Can someone list an option for both single and dual processors?
- 5 PCI slots minimum, 6 or more preferred.
1. Adaptec 19160 SCSI Card
2. Sound Blaster Live!
3. Zoom 56K Dualmode Modem
4. (Video Capture/TV Tuner)
5. Empty (SB Live!'s add-on board here)
- 2 USB slots minimum, 3 preferred.
1. 3Com HomeConnect Netcam
2. Epson Perfection USB Scanner
3. Wacom Graphire USB Tablet

From what I can tell, I'd be better off with the i840 Chipset.

Hopefully, with all the garbage I want to put in it, I don't run out of IRQs or anything. Why can't they double the available IRQs??! :P Everything else is skyrocketing in ability. Why not resources too? Oh well.

Also, does anyone have ANY information on USB 2.0? I was originally going to wait until it came out to buy a motherboard and parts, but I don't want to wait TOO long.

Thanks for your help.
