I have a Soyo 810 chipset motherboard with software codec sound - allegedly. Win98 and 95 both refuse to recognize any sort of sound system on board. Everything is enabled in the BIOS. The drivers seem to install OK, but nothing ever appears in Device Manager (not even a yellow exclamation mark). Tech support suggested enabling the on-board modem but that didn't help either. Anybody had any experience of these things and any suggestions gratefully received.
