I've got a K7V (bios 1005), Ath750, 256MB and am trying to use the onboard sound. The sound works OK but I can't get the gameport to work right. The two devices, a Microsoft 3D Pro and a Force Feedback wheel work fine on my old Intel 450 box.
The 3D Pro won't even recognize. The FF Wheel will recognize, but if you try to use any FF feature in a game things lock up.
I have heard that these older Microsoft products don't work so well with "faster" motherboards. Is there any truth to this? Should I just give up this fight and buy new controllers?
